Comic number seventy-two! I was going to talk about the Law of Fives and how you can get some fives out of the number 72 (subtract its digits, its factors 8 and 9 are 2^3 and 3^2 respectively, multiply its digits and add up the digits of the result, or add its digits and you have 3^2 again), but I couldn't think of five so I gave up.

If you're not entirely clear on what just happened, don't worry. Monday's strip will have it covered. More important is the shiny new viewing angle in the first two panels. We're looking down on Dido and Ike, who are looking into a portal which, to them, is on the wall. Remember how gravity is subjective? I used this angle to maintain a consistent perspective throughout the strip, because there's enough going on here that I had to use a new panel size and double the usual number of panels to keep it from getting too chaotic.

Which is half a lie. I was going to use the tall panels anyway, because I love text and I can't get enough of it into those little squares. Also tall panels let me use a slightly larger font size, which means better readability which means everyone is happier. I think. In any case, there are ducks there to remind us all that something impossible has happened.

Saying "gravity is subjective" up there reminded me of a particular Wigu strip. If you're not familiar with Wigu you probably should be, because it is a nice way to spend some time. Also you should be familiar with Jeffrey Rowland in general, because he seems to be a good fellow all around even if he spends a lot of time freaking out. Especially right now; it's the holidays and if t-shirt orders were water we'd all be drowning if we were in that office.

Basically what I'm going for here is "Sorry it's so crazy Jeffrey, I'd help you out as one Jeffrey to another but I'm only technically a Jeffrey and I don't admit it most of the time anyway. Also I live real far away."
