Funkotronic

ToeJam & Earl is a lot like NetHack in a lot of ways. You wander, you find gifts that can either help you or hurt you, and you almost never win. And, of course, both games are filled to bursting with wit and humor to keep players interested. ToeJam & Earl also includes jokes about burping and pants falling down, but we're not sure whether that goes in with Pros or Cons. Either way, good games!

If you haven't played, seen, or heard about ToeJam & Earl, this comic is probably not for you. In fact, now that I think about it, this comic may actually be intended solely for me and perhaps my father. Dig the groovy repeating background in true 90's style! This is the kind of thing that would show up, accompanied by a funky-fresh 90's beat, every time you went from level to level in the game. If you played two-player, these kinds of conversations would happen. They were usually this short, and always this vapid.

For once I woke up not entirely filled with fire for making comics. I got this one out because I already had the idea in my head, but the whole time there was a struggle to not get up and do something else or take breaks. Is the surge finally over, or will I see these plotlines through? Will Polytopes endure through the new year, or will the will to create be buried underneath the holiday runaround? Only time will tell, I guess.
