So I guess there was a reason I had Dido out and about for all those death elevator construction and departure strips. The part I love about having my brain is that I never consciously realize these things. They're just as surprising and interesting for me to find out about as they are for you! Probably more so, really; I'm easily amused.

Did you catch that, about the Buddha having been the Buddha for a year and a half? I'm pretty sure that's how long Polytopes has been running. It's hard to tell, since I don't really timestamp anything and I overhauled the website in September, but mercentown.org didn't start until May of '06 and the comic was pretty shortly after that. Ah! Some research reveals that the original HTML files were created mid-July. Good job, memory!

So "VWOWM" and "Bwip!" are now apparently the official noises of interdimensional travel. In Polytopes, for Dido and Ike, in any case. Also: have I used this joke before? Maybe it just feels like I have because it's a really, staggeringly awful one. Having looked through the archives, I know the answer; you'll have to find out for yourself! Bwa ha ha.
