In an alternate universe, I made a double-comic running two jokes in parallel: one at the top in the Polytopes universe, to demonstrate--for the umpteenth time--that Otto is really not a fan of puns at all, and one along the bottom to show that Rondo, being Otto's foil, likes them quite a bit. They were awful jokes, and I may put them in later anyway, but for now they stay in the parallel universe.

The lesson I learned, in making this comic, is that it's no longer necessary to show explicitly that Otto does not like puns. This is known. They have made him physically ill, even. The comic is much more effective, now that it simply shows Rondo making puns and enjoying them. The joke is less tiresome, and the concept I'm trying to convey is portrayed succinctly.

Did you notice, by the way, that I'm trying to build bridges out into the real world? The teevee can get our universe's television shows if the Rift is centered on it, which is only possible by using Dido's new invention. Had the parallel-universe version of this comic gone through, you would also have realized that Dido plans to continue supplying Otto with the Fact-O-Pedias necessary to understand its horrible low wordplay. And, thanks to the backward and crazy nature of the Negatopes universe, they just get to know about whatever the hell I want. See? I'm digging my way out, like a zombie feeling the cool graveyard air on its dessicated fingertips for the first time.
