Termin-Al Dente

Turns out "hiatus" means "totally and completely drop current storyline, dive headlong into one-shot pun strips again". There was a whole bunch of stuff involving new and interesting superpowers for Dido, more unfortunate experiments with mind-altering substances for Otto, and a Baten Kaitos joke in there somewhere. I swear to god I'm going to get that stupid joke out of my system. One of these days.

Anyway. Here we have the mysterious appearance of a fully-functional cooking appliance, powered by who knows what. The same stuff that powered Otto's lamp in those other strips, I suppose. I may or may not have intentionally positioned Otto in front of the door to show that he actually is transparent, to a degree; I don't remember very well, as this is also the first time I've used a strip I made and saved for a rainy day. Another nugget of joy for those background info nuts: the stove was traced from a Sims 2 screencap. The pasta pot and steam-swirls, however, are entirely my creation, made to fit with the general overly geometric theme of the Polytopes universe.

Anyway, big props goin' out to me from the past, for lettin' me borrow his ridiculous pun. Thanks man, I owe you one.
